About Me
It seems everyone finds it difficult to describe themselves. After all, we don’t create experiences alone, we create them through connection with each other. But I can tell you some of what I have been told by friends: that I am a great listener and conversationalist, warm and spirited, and have a gorgeous smile.
These compliments are exceedingly generous, and I can only hope to be worthy of them, but I also think the reason my friends feel this way because it is such a core value of mine to be completely present with the person I am spending my time with. I truly believe there is nothing more powerful in life than forging an authentic connection with another human being.
By way of personal background, my previous work experience lies in elementary education and mental health advocacy, which are both causes near and dear to my heart. I also laugh easily (and loudly I have been told), give too much eye contact almost all of the time, and am pretty much the most affectionate person I know. My love languages are physical touch and words of affirmation, if that might help you in your decision making in terms of whether we are a good match.
If you are interested in knowing a little more about me, here is something I wrote to give you another glimpse into who I am:
My idea of utopia is a perfectly hot bath, smelling of lavender and roses. A touch that feeds you and makes you desirous of more. A kiss that excites you, deep in your bones. A book that takes you to another world. A perfect cup of coffee. Kindness. A conversation that takes you to new depths of understanding, that feeds your brain in a way that feels nourishing. Connection, if only for a moment. Touch. A babbling brook in the black forest, wandering under the bridge above the river and feeling the cool water on my toes, the smoothness of the stones under my feet. Walking through trees in golden gate park at dusk, the shadows falling in a way which reminds me of something comforting and foreign at the same time. A perfect sunset at dusk across a beautiful ocean. I truly hope we have the opportunity to create something together. Xo, Elise
